    The E12 Atlantica Transport’s final conference in Vaasa, Finland, ended with a round table discussion. How shall we utilize the project outcome and what challenges are we now facing? What will be the next step – and perhaps the most important question of all – who will do what?

    The three-year project NSB CoRe, North Sea Baltic Connector of Regions, has been operating since the spring 2016, with the aim of improving traffic and land use within the North Sea Baltic corridor as part of the transeuropean TEN-T transport network. As NSB CoRe aims to improve the accessibility of the Eastern Baltic Sea Region to freight and passenger traffic, it is also linked with the E12 Atlantica Transport project

    The final conference of E12 Atlantica Transport project, held in Vaasa, Finland on 14th–15th March, 2018, started with the overall presentation of the project findings and of the border barriers detected. The presentation was given by Mr Jerker Sjögren from Jesjo Konsult and Mr Lars Westin, professor at CERUM at the University of Umeå in Sweden

    Dagens planeringssystem för infrastruktur brister när det gäller ett gränsöverskridande perspektiv, vilket riskerar hämma utvecklingen av öst-västliga transporter i Norden. Projektet E12 Atlantica Transport har därför sammanställt problembilden och utarbetat förslag till åtgärder. Projektet är inne på slutrakan och den 8 mars samlade man trafikmyndigheterna från Sverige, Norge och Finland till ett unikt möte på Arlanda
