Project and Financial Assistant Hired for the Kvarken Council’s New Umeå Office

The Kvarken Council EGTC has employed Ms Ella Back as a project and financial assistant starting from January 8th, 2024. Ella will be based at the Kvarken Council’s new office in Umeå, Sweden.

As a project and financial assistant, Ms Ella Back will work in a broad field and her responsibilities will include office management, financial administration, project reporting, payroll administration in Sweden, event coordination, and travel bookings. The project and financial assistant’s position is a full-time role based in Umeå. 

– We’re glad to welcome Ella to our team. She is a long-awaited addition on the Swedish side. Physical presence in two countries is crucial, as interest in collaboration across the Kvarken grows and the number of members increases. With our new office in the Scharinska Villan in the center of Umeå, we can meet members and collaborators to further strengthen the cooperation, says Ms Veronica Berg, the Kvarken Council’s Development Manager. 

Ella holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a focus on financial management. She has previous experience in administrative office tasks and invoice management from an agricultural machinery company. During her studies, she prioritized living and working abroad, exposing her to different cultures and work environments. 

Now, Ella is looking forward to the new challenges that her position at the Kvarken Council will bring. 

– The Kvarken Council is a constantly growing and flexible organisation, with a positive can-do attitude that I personally find important. I’m excited to grow alongside the organisation and be part of all the exciting and important projects, Ella says.
