Bothnian Coastal Route, an Interreg Aurora project aimed at increasing awareness and demand for travel across the Kvarken strait and around the Bothnian Bay, proudly presents its latest collaboration with the Ume\u00e5-based company Best of Scandinavia. The partnership introduces a tailored and customizable tour around the Bothnian Bay and across the Kvarken strait as part of Best of Scandinavia\u2019s offerings. The launch took place during the Matka Travel Fair in Helsinki on January\u202f15th\u201316th.<\/span><\/p>\n

A Partnership to Promote the Region<\/span><\/b><\/h2>\n

The aim of Bothnian Coastal Route is to enhance the region\u2019s visibility and to create attractive tour suggestions for both individual travellers and groups from the European travel market. A key part of the project involves establishing collaborations with Destination Management Companies (DMC), which can develop and sell travel packages highlighting the region\u2019s unique cultural and natural values.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cBest of Scandinavia is a highly reputable operator in the European markets. The company also has a strong local presence in our region, with extensive knowledge of destinations and businesses around the Bothnian Bay. We\u2019re very pleased that our tour is now part of their portfolio,\u201d says <\/span>Erja Back<\/span><\/b>, Project Leader at Visit Ume\u00e5, which is one of the partners in the Bothnian Coastal Route project.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Inspiring New Tour<\/span><\/b><\/h2>\n

The new tour around the Bothnian Bay is flexible and can be tailored to meet customer preferences. It includes everything from nature experiences and adventures to cultural and culinary highlights, focusing on providing travellers with an authentic insight into the region\u2019s unique character.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cA central task for us in the project is to create networks between the tourism industry and the resellers. An incoming agency\u202flaunching a tour in the Bothnian Coastal Route area is a confirmation of the project’s purposeful efforts,\u201d says Marianne Sj\u00f6str\u00f6m, Project Manager for the Bothnian Coastal Route project at the Kvarken Council.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Collaboration with Best of Scandinavia represents an important step in the project\u2019s efforts to position Bothnian Coastal Route as an attractive and sustainable destination for travellers from across Europe.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
