The theme of the meeting was the E12 route\u2019s transport system\u2019s mutual targets and sub-targets. The participants also discussed e.g. the mutual vision, significant geographical points-of-interests, and infrastructural quality objectives. The project\u2019s vision is based on regional and national visions and objectives.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe partook in lively discussions, especially during teamwork sessions. The groups\u2019 presentations were inspiring and will guide the work forward in the right direction. We\u2019re about halfway there with our goals, and the partners will come together once more in February when the objectives will be ranked and rendered measurable via indicators,\u201d tells <strong>Mr Lars Br\u00fcmmer<\/strong>, Ramb\u00f6ll\u2019s representative and Project Manager.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-9050 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.kvarken.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/resizedimage510340-IMG-3458.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"510\" height=\"340\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.kvarken.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/resizedimage510340-IMG-3458.jpg 510w, https:\/\/www.kvarken.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/resizedimage510340-IMG-3458-480x320.jpg 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) 510px, 100vw\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em>Ramb\u00f6ll\u2019s representatives, Project Manager Lars Br\u00fcmmer and Process Manager Helena Kyster-Hansen, were pleased with the second working meeting organized in Lycksele. Marko M\u00e4enp\u00e4\u00e4, Ramb\u00f6ll\u2019s third representative in the meeting and the one responsible for the analysis focusing on Finland, is missing from the photo.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re very pleased that nearly 35 participants and almost all the partners\u2019 representatives managed to meet yet again. I think that the day was very successful, especially in terms of the objective discussions. My group could quite easily put together pieces of the puzzle regarding the mutual vision. We also discussed the level that the whole E12 route should strive towards, for instance the 100 km\/hour speed limit and how it could be practically implemented in all the three countries. Jeanette Kjellberg on the far left.<\/em><\/h6>\n<p>The third working meeting will be held in Mo i Rana, Norway, on February 8\u20139. The meeting will begin with the review of the results from the first two meetings\u2019 discussions. Its main theme will be \u201cindicators\u201d that measure the development and benefits arising from the transport system\u2019s improvements.<\/p>\n<p>The system analysis is expected to be finished by March 1st, 2017, whereafter it can be used as a basis for political decision-making.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>The E12 Atlantica Transport project is implementing a cross-border system analysis of the E12 Corridor with the help of Ramb\u00f6ll. The system analysis is included in the project\u2019s first work package, which aims at identifying the possibilities for the optimization and development of the transport solutions in the E12 route ranging from Finland and through Sweden all the way to Norway and the Atlantic Coast. The analysis also functions as a knowledge-base for regional infrastructure planning, and its starting point is a current state analysis that aims to define e.g. the stream of goods, commuting, the quantity of goods handled in ports, and the speed levels of railways.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Such analyses are often regional, but the E12 Atlantica Transport project aims to create a cross-border system analysis of all the areas surrounding the route. The analysis will be carried out with the active participation of all the partners in workshops where the partners can discuss important starting points and issues.
