Lentoalalla on l\u00e4hitulevaisuudessa edess\u00e4 monenlaisia haasteita ymp\u00e4rist\u00f6n ja kest\u00e4vyyden kuin my\u00f6s saavutettavuuden suhteen.<\/span> Lentokent\u00e4t ovat hyvin tietoisia ymp\u00e4rist\u00f6n\u00e4k\u00f6kohdista ja toteuttavat monenlaisia ymp\u00e4rist\u00f6toimenpiteit\u00e4.<\/span> N\u00e4iden toimenpiteiden lis\u00e4ksi alueellisten lentokenttiemme valmistelu kaupallisen liikenteen s\u00e4hk\u00f6lentoja varten tulee vaatimaan paljon, mutta meill\u00e4 on my\u00f6s mahdollisuus toteuttaa er\u00e4s nykyp\u00e4iv\u00e4n\u00e4 alikehittynyt kuljetuspotentiaali.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

FAIR-s\u00e4hk\u00f6lentohanke vieraili maalis-huhtikuussa yhteisty\u00f6kumppaneidensa kanssa Kokkola-Pietarsaaren, Sein\u00e4joen, Lyckselen, Hemavanin ja Sandnessj\u00f8enin lentoasemilla sek\u00e4 esitteli hanketta rahoittajille ja yhteisty\u00f6kumppaneille Mo i Ranassa ja Vaasan Energy Week\u202f-tapahtumassa.<\/span> Koordinoidut vierailut lentoasemilla ja tapaamiset hankkeen sidosryhmien kanssa olivat eritt\u00e4in antoisia.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Lycksele Airport<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Lycksele Airport is a regional airport centrally located in the county of V\u00e4sterbotten and it connects the surrounding area to Stockholm by offering two daily flights. The airport also facilitates an ambulance helicopter which provides a vital accessibility to hospital care in a vast region. Thank you for the hospitality and rewarding discussions on electric aviation and needed infrastructure at the airport!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The FAIR-team at Sandnessj\u00f8en Airport, Stokka.<\/p><\/div>\n

Sandnessj\u00f8en Airport (Stokka)<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Sandnessj\u00f8en Airport (Stokka) is beautifully located close to Sandnessj\u00f8en and is owned and operated by Avinor. With a takeoff runway of 1199 meters, it is a part of the Norwegian short-takeoff-and-landing network and very well suited for electric aviation. We also got the opportunity to listen to the development plans of both Sandnessj\u00f8en Airport and Br\u00f8nn\u00f8ysund Airport. As both airports already serve regional flight connections, the shift to sustainable fuels both at the ground service and in the air, are very much in focus. Thanks for the hospitality!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Hemavan Airport<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Located almost in the middle of the ski slope of Hemavan, the airport supports air traffic to Stockholm 6 days a week. As a popular ski resort, the airport plays an important role in providing accessibility both for the inhabitants, but also for the growing tourism sector. Thanks for important talks on accessibility and how electric aviation can serve Hemavan in the future!<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Kokkola-Pietarsaari Airport<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In May\u202fthe FAIR team visited the Kokkola-Pietarsaari airport. Rewarding discussions about regional flights and possibilities with electric flights in a near future were on the agenda. The discussions were spiced up by the news about the plans to soon start an east-west flight route between Kokkola-Pietarsaari and Skellefte\u00e5. About the project<\/strong><\/p>\n

FAIR (Finding innovations to Accelerate the Implementation of electric Regional aviation)\u00a0is a first step of preparing the Kvarken and Nordland region for an early implementation of electric aviation.<\/em><\/p>\n

The project increases the knowledge base, investigates the possibilities and surveys both the needs and the required technical investments.<\/em><\/p>\n

The project\u2019s partnership consists largely of actors in three Ostrobothnian Counties (Finland), V\u00e4sterbotten (Sweden) and Nordland (Norway).<\/em><\/p>\n

This project is in line with the Traffic strategy for the E12-region with goals for carbon neutral transport as well as measures aimed at investigating east-west regional flight routes.<\/em>
