Six project platforms were selected by the Monitoring Committee of Interreg Baltic Sea Region at its 9th meeting 7th of June 2018 in Tallinn. The platforms join efforts of several projects funded by different programmes dealing with transport corridors, rescue actions at the coast and sea, clean shipping, water management, nutrient management and blue bioeconomy. The platforms are a new type of project to capitalise on the results of existing projects.
BSR Access: Access to clean, efficient and multimodal transport corridors in the Baltic Sea Region (specific objective “Interoperability of transport modes”) is one of these project platforms selected in the first call for applications.
Helsinki-Uusimaa Regional Council (Lead partner of the ‘NSB CoRe’ project co-funded by the Interreg BSR programme and labelled a flagship of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region) is the lead partner for the platform. Kvarken Council (lead partner of the ‘E12 Atlantica Transport’ project co-funded by the Interreg Bothnia-Atlantica programme) is one of the project partners.
