The Bothnian Coastal Route project was present at the Swedish Workshop in Södertälje on April 24th–25th, where 62 enticing destinations and businesses met 105 tour operators from 17 countries.
Peter Källberg from VASEK and Erja Back from Visit Umeå, conducted 29 intensive sales meetings and can attest that the interest in our coastal tour spanning two Nordic countries is significant. Furthermore, the project is riding the trend wave as more and more international tour operators turn their attention to the Nordic countries.
The Bothnian Coastal Route website, that launched earlier this year with pre-planned tours that can be filtered, gathered great attention and admiration from tour operators. The tool allows tour operators to modify the pre-existing tours or create entirely new ones using the products in the supply.
– We heard comments like: ”Awesome, amazing, fantastic, and the best website for operators that I’ve ever seen”, from tour operators repeatedly, Erja Back explaines.
The Bothnian Coastal Route project, including northern Finnish and Swedish destinations, aims to increase awareness of the coastal route around the Bothnian Bay and over the Kvarken strait as an attractive travel route for both international tourists and locals.
