FAIR Panel on the RISE Volta app and Implications for the Future Regional Electric Air System
The goal of the network workshops is to contribute to and further develop a Nordic competence network within electric aviation but also to raise knowledge of regional electric aviation.
Welcome to contribute to a FAIR Panel on the RISE Volta app and Implications for the Future Regional Electric Air System!
RISE is hosting a panel on implications for the future regional electric air system, with basis in the RISE Volta prototype. The Volta prototype is the booking website of an imaginary future all-electric airline servicing the Kvarken region. The panel will debate implications and explore possible uses, values and societal scenarios from different perspectives, followed by an open floor. We invite you to bring input to the panel and to join the open floor with any ideas or thoughts.
RISE Volta is a booking website that speculates on the user experience of on-demand electric aviation in the region. (Find the app: https://fair-volta.ri.se/) Three features set this system apart from air travel as we know it:
- There is no schedule, departure times are asynchronously negotiated between customers.
- Pricing reflects flexibility and concurrence between customers.
- Travel is booked from address to address, including other forms of transport in the booking.
