INTERREG BOTNIA-ATLANTICA. E12 Atlantica Transport. A cooperation between partners in Finland, Sweden and Norway along the E12 corridor, focusing on a functional transport route for goods and passengers, joint strategies for cross-border planning and future cooperation structures.
The Regional Council of Ostrobothnia is a joint municipal authority formed by fifteen municipalities. It has two main functions in supporting regional interests: regional development and spatial planning.
Region Västerbotten is a co-operative body which is responsible of regional development in Västerbotten County. Västerbotten County Council and the county’s 15 municipalities established Region Västerbotten 1 January 2008. Region Västerbotten is a political organisation which is responsible for regional development issues and regional growth.
The Kvarken Council is a Nordic cross border cooperation association for the Ostrobothnian counties in Finland as well as Västerbotten and Örnsköldsvik in Sweden. Since 1979 The Kvarken Council is a part of the Nordic cross border cooperation. The Kvarken Council is one of eleven Nordic cross border bodies, which are funded by the Nordic Council of Ministers.
